Theatre & Film

The Art Society is proud of its Upstairs Playhouse that opened in May 2018 and has a seating capacity for 100 guests. Plays and concerts are held regularly in the theatre with the facilities being available for hire. A recent addition is the movie cinema that promises, through the MDHAS Film Club, to encourage interest in film as an art form.

The Mayday Hills Art Society is a member of the Federation of Victorian Film Societies, Inc. As such, film events organised by MDHAS are open to members only; although members can bring guests. The cost is a $5 donation to the society. Tea, coffee, drinks and snacks are available for purchase.

RSVPs essential for each screening.
